Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of the website of Shepherd and Shield Roofing (Shepherd and Shield Roofing, we, us, or our) and your engagement of our services. By using this website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.

About our services

Shepherd and Shield Roofing is a licensed and insured exterior contractor based at 235 Victoria Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15239, serving homeowners in Cambria County, Blair County, and Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Our services include asphalt shingle roof replacement, vinyl siding replacement, soffit replacement, fascia replacement, and gutter replacement.

Estimates and quotes

Estimates provided by Shepherd and Shield Roofing are based on a visual inspection of the property and the information available at the time of inspection. Conditions that are not visible until work begins, such as rotted or damaged roof decking discovered after the existing roof is removed, may require additional materials and labor. Any such additional work and its cost will be communicated to you, and where reasonably possible, agreed upon before the work proceeds. Estimates are valid for the period stated on the written estimate and are subject to change after that period.

Scope of work and changes

The scope of work is defined in your written estimate or work agreement. Any changes requested after work has begun, or any additional work arising from concealed conditions, may affect the price and the timeline and will be documented accordingly.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and the schedule of payments, are set out in your written estimate or work agreement. Unless otherwise stated in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work.

Workmanship and manufacturer warranties

Shepherd and Shield Roofing stands behind the quality of its workmanship. Roofing and exterior materials we install may also carry manufacturer warranties, which are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer's terms, conditions, and registration requirements. Any workmanship warranty we offer will be described in your written agreement. Warranties do not cover damage caused by storms, falling objects, structural movement, improper maintenance, alterations made by others, or normal wear.

Insurance claims

Where work relates to an insurance claim, you are responsible for your communications and agreement with your insurance carrier. Shepherd and Shield Roofing can inspect and document damage and provide our assessment, but we do not act as your insurance adjuster, public adjuster, or legal representative, and we make no guarantee regarding the approval, scope, or payment of any insurance claim.

Property access and conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work areas. We take care to protect your property during the work, including the use of measures to protect landscaping during tear-off and the cleanup of debris and fasteners after the work. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for damage arising from concealed defects that could not reasonably have been identified before work began.

Scheduling and weather

Roofing and exterior work is weather-dependent. We may reschedule work as necessary for safety and quality when weather does not permit proper installation. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of any scheduling changes.

The content on this website is provided for general information about our services and service area. It does not constitute a binding offer or a guarantee of any specific result, price, or timeline. Pricing information on this site, including any cost ranges, is general and illustrative only; the only binding price is the written estimate provided after an inspection of your property.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, Shepherd and Shield Roofing's liability arising out of or relating to our services or this website is limited to the amount paid by you for the services at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts located in Pennsylvania.
